The first paying camp facilitation was great. Though it has its ups and downs, but this is no doubt the camp returning.
One of the reason could be that the mood of the camp is different. They came knowing that they were there to have fun. They also know their groupmates rather well as they would have been classmates for about 3 years. One thing I learn is that never take any dare given by the kids as they are sure to have a trick up their sleeves. I learnt this lesson the hard way though when they left me hanging on a harness 3 stories up in the air and extort me to say things which are pleasing to their ears...but it was fun though.
Apart from that, I guess my headache is gone after just 1 dosage of the painkillers and my eyes are no longer reddish despite only having 3 hours of sleep a day, a night hike, a morning to afternoon hike. Perhaps nature was the best cure for a person.
To think that 6 years ago, I was a participant of an adventure camp co-organized by the school and now a trainer in charge of a group.
Time sure do fly, and when they do, they travel at warp speed..
And darn, lost my jungle hat....shucks need to go down to beach road and get a replacement..
Oh wells, lets hope I get to go for another camp gig next week...
